We have many e-mail options to choose from. While you may continue to use your existing e-mail server (not change your e-mail address or computer configuration) to send and receive e-mail. We do recommend that our clients who register a domain name, use the e-mail address that associates with it.
If you started with a "Sub Domain" on our server you won't have this option, unless you choose to use one of our primary domains for your e-mail to pass through. With the examples shown here: yourname@webvenues.com or your name@webvenues.net, we will redirect (automatically send to) your existing e-mail address. By setting your service up like this, there will be no interruption of e-mail service when you decide to purchase a domain name for your web site.
For "Domain Name Holders" using our virtual servers, your e-mail can work like that above, using your domain name in conjunction with your e-mail; myname@mydomain.com and redirecting to your existing e-mail address. Again this option saves you from having to change configuration settings on your computer in order to send and receive e-mail. This service works well for the majority of our clients, and they prefer it over the more powerfull e-mail services we offer, shown below.
For those clients who wish to use our services to their maximum potential, you can use our e-mail servers to send and receive e-mail, in conjunction with your domain name. For our customers who travel, this is a much better option then using your own dial-up account e-mail address, since you can access our servers from anywhere in the world, no matter how you access the Internet. If you travel, access the Internet on the road, and only need the basic of e-mail services, this service is right for you.
E-Mail for power users. If you or your company has the need to add and remove e-mail addresses on a regular basis, set your own "user names" and passwords, would like to have the ability to forward those e-mails for the individual addresses, or would like to set up "auto responders" (automatic reply's to e-mails you receive). We have e-mail clients (programs and servers) that come with their own control panel where you can do just that.
We don't restrict size of incoming or outgoing e-mails, nor the amount of e-mail you process through our servers so long as it legitimate business or personal e-mail.
We, like other quality Internet Service Providers, do not allow sending of bulk unsolicited commercial e-mail (otherwise know as SPAM), know transmission of worms or viruses through our servers, nor any other activity which is currently deemed (or identified as such in the future), detrimental to the health and well being of the Internet as a whole.
We will strongly enforce these and future policies, in an effort to protect our servers, and our clients interests who use them. If a problem is brought to our attention, the offending user will be telephoned to find out if they are aware of the problem, and what actions are being taken to quell the problem.
If it is determined the client is responsible for causing the problem, depending on the severity of the problem, actions we take may be as simple as a verbal warning, up to and including termination of e-mail service through our servers.
Our policies are set to the same high quailty standards used by leaders within the industry. If you have questions, feel free to call or e-mail for clarification.
